I need you help! Your vote could help me decide what to do to my truck. I plan on painting my truck Midnight Pearl Blue or Midnight Blue w/ metallic.

I would go with the chrome bumpers . and if you got a good grille on it now , if alluminum leave it alone - if metal paint the hell out of it . that way if you find a good a good shiny aluminum some day you can swap back and forth to your liking .

that is a hell of a nice old truck man I can't wait until mine is ready to drive again . I think it's all up to you on what you do do with it . But I do like the chrome on chrome .take more pics would like to see more. Have fun with it .

I voted all chrome to go with the midnight blue. That being said im partial to painted bumpers and trim, but think they work better with two tone trucks and lighter colors like baby blue, or light green. BTW are you gonna do the interior in the midnight blue?

I was all set on chrome, the more bling the better or so I thought. After painting my truck primer black I painted the grill and headlight bezels primer black. with chrome bumpers it looks great. Just the right amount of chrome. When I paint my truck the colors I want I may go to a chrome grill, depends on what it looks like painted. I'll probably have a custom chrome grill made but the colors and chrome will have to work together so they don't offset each other. But ultimately the choice is yours. Don't be swayed in your preference, you'll never know what it would look like done the way you want It. So do it your way then change it if you want but at least you'll know without wondering. Good luck with your build.

on a darker color I would say chrome all the way. I was thinking of going chrome on mine, but sort of like the way my grill looks now that I have painted it back to white and it looks right for my color so far.. I love chrome, but its up to you.....how do you invision the truck? there is always photoshop..lol

IMHO; If the bumpers are painted than paint the grille the same color; if the bumpers are chrome I like the grille to be either aluminum or chrome. Kinda similiar to the original factory look. If I believe right on a 64; the aluminum, display's alot of black reset protion's? So try and have the best of both worlds and have one painted & one chrome. Isn't it confusing!!!!!

Thanks to every one who has voted and double thanks to those of you that made comments. I'm thinking on going with the painted grille and chrome bumpers, only because it will be cheaper at first and if I don’t like it I can always spend the extra money to get my grille chromed or just buy a new one.

Good luck with your truck , I'll keep an eye out for a good aluminum or chrome grille if I find one I'll let you know. They are a real hard to find item these days , It took a long time to find mine . But rite after I got it I found some more within a week . if you take some pic and post them in a gallery let me know would like to see it .
