Unhappy Leaky 7.3

Hey guys gotta 88 F250 7.3 with a Banks Sidewinder turbo. I have an oil leak problem that has me baffled. I rebuilt this engine about 70000 miles ago and didnt have much problem with oil leaks until I put the turbo on. My ? is: could the turbo have caused the engine to have enough blow by that its forcing oil out of the seals and gaskets? Or is the cdr plugged? Should I just vent all blow by into the atmosphere and eliminate the recirculation tube into the intake elbow on the turbo? Advice will be much appreciated. Casey

where is the leak ? I am not sure about the banks system but the ats system requires a hole punched into the inner valley pan to drain the oil from the turbo pedastal. There are also o rings to seal the pedastal mount and turbo to the pedastal.

The leaks are in several places, valve covers, rear main, oil cooler gaskets. When I rebuilt this engine I used that indian head gasket sealer along with the gaskets and it sealed the engine up great until I put the turbo on it. About a month later it started leaking a little and has progressively gotten worse. Yes I had to put a hole in the valley pan too along with a rubber grommet. I looked to see if the turbo itself leaked any oil and it appeared to be dry along with the lines going to it. I have an 86 F250 with the 6.9 and it doesnt leaky hardly any oil. The 88 will use about 3 to 4 qts of oil every oil change.

i dont understand why those areas are leaking following th install of the turbo, unless the gasket gook is letting go or drying out. I never used that stuff on the new gaskets or o rings.
all the pressure from the turbo goes out the exhaust, unless the crankcase valve (some other sucky name) is blocked up. oh yeh, anti depression valve, but it does the same thing.

no other thoughts than that. Perhaps someone else can chime in here and get it going, i mean stopped (the leaks that is).

With my ATS system I actually have to service my CDR every oil change.
If I don't the location of the CDR vent tube into the pipe between the air filter and turbo will actually draw to much vacuum on the crankcase.
