Trying to pin down what rearend came in a 1981, 14' E350 Box Van....Answered an internet ad and the fella isn't sure what he has. Except that it's a box van and a Dually.Sixty miles just to go look.I'm hoping for a Dana 70 Dually.Trying to fing one for my '67 F250.Any ideas what it may be? Thanks for any help...
Have the seller give you the axle code and post it here; someone can decipher it for you. It should be on the door sticker (at least that's where it is on F series).
Most likely a D70
The metal tag affixed to the differential cover bolts will have a xxxxxx-x # number sequence. Ask him to remove the tag and clean it on a wire wheel to make it legible. Use a magnifying glass if necessary.
Measure the axle width and spring pad width before you buy!
