240 vs 300 cid
How do you tell the difference between a 240 and a 300. I was told the truck, a '66 stepside, has a 300 but a repair bill listed it as a 240. Of course the engine tag is missing in action and my chiltons manual was no help deciphering the vin plate.Thanks

The old white wire through the spart plug hole while hand rotating the engine and measuring the stroke with a Sharpie works well. Get that measurement and report back and we can help you.
