code PO269 what caused it?

P0269 Cylinder 3 Contribution/Balance Fault
that simply means that cylinder three is not pulling it's fair share of the load. my guess is that the injector is not firing each time. check the valve cover gasket connection.. on each valve cover gasket there is a plug that goes in the actual gasket that sends a power signal to the injectors. they may be chafed up against something and it's shorting out. i havent had this problem so i dont know how indepth it is or if you actually need to remove the valve cover or not.
