I posted in the General Forum, but I think it will be more appreciated here: I cracked open the August 2002 Car and Driver magazine and a couple pages in is a Goodyear Ad that has full page photo with an old Ford pickup (rear view). I have it pegged as a 1964. Check it out.
Am I Ford-crazy or do some of you also get excited about something like this?
INLINE SIX POWER!
300 Cubic Inches of Low RPM Truck Torque! And twin-I-beams too!
"Drive a stick young man! There'll be time for automatics when you're old and unable."
By the rear of the fenders and the upper back of the cab, I narrowed it down to 64 - 66. The thing that stuck me with '64 was the very large tailgate lettering which "Ford Trucks Since 1905 makes a point of for that year" and my book showing a '65 has the tailgate lettering with serifs (the fancy extra do-hickies that hang off the capital letters), whereas the one in the ad is sans-serif. Anyway, love to see the old Ford trucks!
