Does anyone know of a company selling a propane conversion kit for the V-10? I know there are many old 429 Ford trucks running around with a propane conversion kit/tank , but I havn't seen anything on the V-10 SD and would be extremely interested in one. I have locked in my fall propane at $1.48/gal, and regular 10% ethanol gasoline is now $2.949/gal

Yeah, but those links didn't really get anywhere.
We've discussed it here and would imagine a search through this forum might help. However...when I Googled "Propane Conversion" I got a bunch of hits of companies that state "Do not email about converting cars, trucks..etc. etc. We won't even respond."
I would imagine there are many regualatory hurdles to jump to make it LEGAL to convert a street going vehicle. Otherwise, everyone would have it.

OK, thanks for all the replies. I'll do some more research.
I have found info on the 4.6 and the 5.4 propane conversion kits, costing in the neighborhood of $6,000, but not for the V-10. Seems awfully high, but it takes a special sequential port regulator and some other special things like a gas pump, high pressure fuel tank, and new puter controls..Maybe not economically feasable where a guy doesn't run but 15-20k miles a year in a converted vehicle.
The I-net sure is an amazing place to learn something new.
