06 emblems on an 01?

06 emblems on an 01?
I'm wanting to put some of those sweet 06 emblems on my 01. Has anyone done it on an 01? Do the pegs line up correctly? I've heard that on the "earlier" trucks the peg holes are closer.

Which emblems are you talking about?? The side 'ranger' ones, or the ovals. For the side ones, the pegs should line up fine. I don't see any problem with breaking them off besides alignment issues. You could break one off to align one side then eyeball it. If you are talking about the large tailgate emblem, I have no idea...

Either way, you could break the old one off, clean the area up, and put the new one in it's place. Whether the tabs line up or not, you'll still not have a hard time eyeballing it. A level would make it almost easy (rememeber the truck may not sit level!).
Put some tape (electrical or masking) on a straight part on the fender to the top or bottom of the old emblem to get your line, and go from there.
