Wet Engine -Miss

Need help... Washed engine on 2001 5.4 l expedition and had miss and check engine light came on. Went away after 1 day for about a month and now has been missing periodically and getting worse. Check engine light came on coming home from work. Notice it mainly on acceleration and haved tried injector cleaner.

Do I have to take to shop to diagnose codes or would NAPA read it for me?

Any ideas for me to try?

Just got back from Autozone and they said #1 cylinder missing so would replace front left COP and plug. Is it hard to R&R?
Shop friend said two screws and remove and replace?

That's about all there is to it. It's a little bit harder on the back cylinders, but you should give it a try.

Try blowing the water out of the spark plug hole first. Then clean the COP boot, and then put dielectric grease where the boot joins the COP and around the plug opening.

Moisture gets trapped in the plug holes and causes a lot of mis-fires.
