missing

I have e-150 conversion van 2000 4.6 v8 one of my hoses busted and was spraying water on plug #5, corrected hose and replaced plug, then ran ok for about 300 miles then started missing or idleling rough, and getting worse, the check engine soon light came on but goes out. What else can i try.

sounds like you probably shorted out the c.o.p.

I didn't think that the V8 used coil on plug. I thought that only the V10 did. Did you measure the wiring resistance?
