What will I get tradeing in my truck??
On Wensday I'am going to go back to my deal and see what kind of deal they will give me on another 2006 only with a 4.6 which I wish I had got in the first place seeing as I'am getting 10 mpg. How much do you think I will have to give to get it? My truck is a XLT with a 5.4 power windows power locks aircondionins criuse control and automatic and the one I'am going to go look at is a XL with no carpet on the floor and does'nt have power windows or power locks???? My truck has 1,677 miles on it.

the second it hit the street it lost 20% value......so you might get 80% of the purchase price......you will lose thousands, and the 4.6 really wont save you much on gas. I'd either keep the current rig, or get a Ranger........8/10 of a liter of displacement will hardly save you anything on fuel......it's the 6000 lbs the engine pulls around that is expensive...smaller engine has to rev higher for acceleration, so you might burn the same fuel.

If you're getting 10 MPG, you either need to have your truck looked at or change your driving habits. I get around 14 in everyday driving and can get between 18 and 19 on the road. My 5.4 is more economical than my cousin's 4.6. I drive like I have an egg on the dash and don't want to knock it off starting or stopping.

Hi Geddy,
I won't steer you away from tradin or give you Much financial advice....
but I was just thinking that if you don't really need the f/size truck the 4.L Ranger has some decent HP and MPG ratings....
Also... FWIW....
I don't think your dealer will jus' go by the book when he does his apprasial and offers, but I think he'll look at the demands of V8s (even loaded ones) in your/his area and decide wether or not that your trade-in will be sitting on his lot a year or two down the road still....
Good Luck with your decision Geddy...

Look at KBB, and NADA, as well as contact your bank to see what they'll lend on a vehicle exactly like yours. This will give you a ballpark figure to gain insight as to what your dealer will offer for your trade, and what 99Trigger3_0 states is also very important and should be taken into consideration.
