Well, now that I am back working with my Dad I have been using his bucket truck more often. We recently got a call from a place in town that was having some flag problems. They called us before because the flag was stuck at the top of the pole. This time it was stuck because the weight on the bottom came off so they couldn't lower it.
I went over with the bucket truck and some pole extensions and was going to attempt to somehow get a hold of the flag to pull on it while they lowered it from the ground.
We got it down and here are some "action" shots my Mom took while I was up in the bucket. Oh and just to give you an idea of how tall this flag pole is, the truck has a 55 foot reach and you can still see how much is above me!
This is a stupid question but why did they want to take the flag down in the first place?
Because there is a weight at the bottom of the cable at the bottom of the flag. It came off and then they couldn't lower the flag. They needed to fix it.
