I just got my 66 shortbed back on the road after changing the radius arm bushings and axle pivot bushings with energy suspension poly bushings. Also new tires and front shocks. I can't believe the difference! The steering wheel nolonger shakes out of your hand and the front end feels solid now. Can't wait to start driving her on a regular basis.
I bought my poly bushings at Autozone. The ordered them and I had them in 2 days. I went to energysuspension.com and checked out what was available and got part numbers. Also check out jcwhitney.com for bushing sets and a complete kit for Ford trucks by prothane.com. My bushing cost 19.99 for the axle pivots and 17.99 for the radius arm bushings. If you don't have an Autozone near you just check them out at autozone.com and shop online. This job was a fair amount of work but totally worth the results. I'm going to chek out the cab body mounts and shackle sets soon. Hope this helps you out. Oh, I got my bushings in black so they look more stock but they come in red and possibly blue.
