I too have the Banks Big Hoss. 7 levels of power. 1 thru 3 have minimal smoke, but 4-7 any quick blips of the throttle....smoke. level 7, I cloud the road and haul some serious dually A$$.

black smoke on a stock truck is unacceptable for me. it could be carbon but more than likely it is diesel smoke. egr maybe opening up bleeding off boost or turbo could be malfunctioning.

my black smoke was eliminated when they replaced the turbo last month, today it was the egr but when it was bad i didn't have any black smoke.
