Well I can honestly say I won every race I ran today. but of coarse I only ran one race.
First race in modified truck was running good, came out of the end of the track hit the wall first then the big dip at the finish line put the truck air born, it started bouncing and skipping sideways and the carb flooded out so I couldn't get teh tires spinning again, well you can guess what happened it skipped sideways a couple times and rolled. Luckily it was an easy roll just up on the passenger side, broke the windshield, and side window and shoved the top of the cab over on the roll bar (about an inch over and broke the seams for the roof. had to pry the passenger door open and now it won't shut gonna have to get a porta power and bend everything back. Other than that it broke the right front shock and shoved the front diff into the oil filter busting it open so I had to scratch out of the rest of the day. All and all not too bad really, and besides I was wanting to replace the glass with lexan anyway, and it was time for an oil change so no big deal.
Oh well guess I finally have an entry for the COTY award, even if it's not bad at all. Of coarse my wife missed the rollover totally on the video, but here is a couple of pics of the truck, doesn't show a lot of you can see some of it.
theres another link i found with some from chilicothe ,unless that first one was too, i have if you want ,lots of videos on there.where did you roll it at rob /reasoner?
Glad you're ok, and the damage is superficial. Hell, who needs doors and a roof anyways? Haha as said, glad that you're ok. At least your wife didn't have a heart attack when you went over.
And KO as far as I can tell everything is still ok on the suspension, I will know more later in the week after I get a chance to start working on it but nothing looks out of shape anyway.
Not my truck so this is easy for me to say but . . . dayum, that roll would have been worth it just to hear Linda scream like that.
Glad to hear nothing is busted up too bad. Aren't you glad you didn't buy that PurePower oil filter now? I had to chuckle because if I'd been able to come visit like I planned I would have been over for this race. Can you imagine trying to hose the poo out of the cab when I saw the ground coming at my face?
EDIT I think you could have possibly avoided this little roll over if you had mechanical injection (hint hint).

damn rob just when you get everything workin right this happens. im willing to bet you have the worst luck here...lol. glad to hear your alright thou. one of these days im gonna make it over that way to watch you race. and judging from the scream and the pics it looked worse then it was.
I don't know whether to call it bad luck or just the fact I built the truck to run it hard and I am not afraid to abuse the heck out of it. Run hard and fast enough long enough and your bound to break something or have something like this happen, I am actually suprised this is the first time in 5 yrs I have rolled (3 for this truck). I haven't liked this track real well for a couple of years too rough, and too narrow and has put me airborne more times than I care to remember, might have to spend more time down in MO on the fast tracks that way when it does roll it's actually spectacular.
On the bright side, the D44 is still intact running the same factory axles I put in it 3 yrs ago with the replacing of 2 napa brand ujoints on the right axle, maybe that means I am not running it hard enough, or maybe it just means I need more HP.

after watching all the videos of you and that truck i think you run it plenty hard but if the stock axels are holding up in the d44 then you need more hp!!!!! and you must have some good luck if you found a 44 to hold the power you got now. me personally id like to see 1000 hp na and im sure others would too, or maybe a 10000 rpm redline.
i want to see you run it halfway out in the pit, cut the wheels to turn up the bank all the way and stomp it...i bet the 44 shafts go boom at the u joints
