edge package

can anyone tell me what exactly the edge package is for a 05 ranger?

is there something that makes it sit higher than a regular 4x4?

Yes, the edge has the 4x4 stance even in the 2 wheel drive version, ford got the idea from thier earlier trail head edition ranger. It was a 4x2, that looked like a 4x4.

thats waht i thought, but does a edge 4x4 sit higher than a regular 4x4? it might be my imagination, but mine seems higher than regular 4x4 rangers?

I don't think so, but I wouldn't swear to it, I guess it could come down to tire size. Or maybe the edge has an extra crank on the t-bars, but I thought they were basically the same.
