It's been a long three days. Clearfield Pa Fri. and Reedsville WV Sat. & Sun. Third at Clearfield, third Sat in an open 8000 and yes there were a couple twin Dodges. It was Ford, Chevy, Ford, Dodge finish. Six trucks went to the pull off. My truck hooked hard left in the pull off and I almost ran over the flagman but still managed a good finish. All I could see were the flags flying when he started running. The Ford that finished first runs SS and he finished second in that class on Sun. On Sun. in street I finished fifth. The truck started to hop on the first try so I stopped and rehooked. The second attempt wasn't a whole lot better, I had to steer through the bounce. Once it settled down it made a good pass. For the amount of good trucks at these events I'm real happy with the results. Once the numbers are up I add them later.
For those wondering I got on the dyno and put down 480, 990. One of the twin Dodges that ran Sat put down like 522. Another Dodge that ran Sun put down over 500 and I put 14 feet on him.
wow! 480/990 is a great stat with all stock internal rotating and hard parts, right?
like always you kick *** pulling. thats pretty funny but scary at the same time how you almost ran over the flag man. did you go outside of the lines on that pull?
you are proof that compounded cummins are over rated.
Man Kevin, you did an awsome job on Sat at Reedsville. I know your truck was hoppin a little, but like you said after she hooked up it was a nice pull. There was quite of few trucks in your class ( quite a few dodges ) that you finished ahead of. You made Ford Proud. It was nice meeting you, and good luck at your next run.
I guess I have my days mixed up in the original post. It should be Thur., Fri., and Sat.. It was nice to meet everyone. Hard to believe I could see so many people from this and other forums.
Good pulls Kevin!! It's funny that those Dodges are making more power on the dyno, but you can out pull them. Guess it just reinforces the idea that they are just dyno queens.
Hard to believe, but true, and its not who you think it may be.
Bruce Balish, Moscow, PA, laid down a flawless run at the DHRA event in Reedsville West Virginia Saturday night.
Brad Ingram managed to hold on and win, at 298.07,over Bruce's 292.84.
That means, there is a PSD within 5.23 feet of a 1000+HP Dodge Cummins.
is that the truck with the tires that are 3' wide and a hood stack that shoots smoke well over 100' into the air and digs all four tires in and shoots 4 roosts over the trailer at the end of the pull?
