I would like to propose to the chapter a chance to get Ford Truck Enthusiasts some East state publicity. September 23rd is the second annual Corn Fest at Garnett. During the morning 08:00am till noon is the car/truck/ racers/motorcycle show on the west side of North Lake.
To get more info of the days events and night show go to http://www.accornfest.com
These are the kinds of events I would like us to do more of.. good job Dragonslayer. I would like to see a few trucks and the banner parked somewhere. :-) I'll try and make it too.
Sorry guys Doc took my toe off the 11th of August and I have been sitting at home,(without e-mail). It is healing well and I`m back to work. Yes this is becoming an annual event, it is the second year for cornstock. John Corbet backed out and they are trying to find a replacement for him. Everything else is a go. Going to be a busy AM for me. I get to put out all the trash cans, tables, and chairs for the various events. As time permits me to I will try to visit with anyone who comes, The truck is still the same big white flamed with emergency light bar on top.
My wife has been sick all week and even missed a few days of work. Yesterday I started to come down with the same stuff. I'm going to have to miss this one.
The show was good 150 entries with about 20 trucks nice to say it was mostly Fords.
Had several Mustangs from around the country all were modified in Kansas City.
