Performance upgrades?

I and a new and proud owner of a 99 7.3L SD. I am amazed at what is out there for bolt on performance mods and the power that they produce. What do you suggest to get the most bang for my buck. Intake, chip and exhaust seems to be the norm, but which ones work best. O, and of coarse as everyone does I what more power without sacrificing MPG too much.

As for the intake the "kwik filter" can't be beat. It costs under $20 and if you do a search on here you will find a ton of links about it. For the exhaust most people have a 4" cause of the price and from what i read on here the 5" is mostly for the sound. I have the "kwik filter" and a 5' exhaust. The chip if you do any reading on here dp tuner made by Jody Tipton will come up as your best option. He has a digital chip that can have up to 16 positions. He has amazing customer service and will answer any questions you have. I called with a few questions with the intent to order a chip within the next few months and ended up ordering one that will be here next week. The intake and exhaust will let your truck breath easier and the chip, from what i have read on here, will add anywhere from 1-4 mpg. One thing to remember is that you will need to get some gauges to monitor these mods, trans temp, exhaust gas temp, and boost pressure. Just use the search function and type in these topics and you will have enough reading for a long time. Goodluck
