Well I have searched and cant really find anyone else with the same tranny problem as me, so heres whats going on. Temps are normal never above 160 "no towing", between 60-70 mph I can hear a low pich humming sound, and feel it through my feet on the floor. Most of the time it will slip under hard acceleration during shifts, and seems not as powerfull as it once was. Its got 85k and I bought it used in march with a 2yr waranty, so what do you guys think?
Tranny fluid was changed when I bought the truck, and its smells good and looks fine. Could the dealer used the wrong type of fluid? Its was a large dealership that was not a ford dealer, chevys, gmc, caddys, hyundai. They did brakes, all fluids, and filters.
The noise might not be the tranny. Check the u joints, rear differential, mid-ship bearing, if you have one.
Does the 2 Year warranty cover the tranny if it blows? If so, find something really heavy and tow it. Drive it like you stole it, Let the warranty get you a new tranny.

Agreed. Besides, it'd be kinda fun to purposefully blow your own tranny in a sick and twisted way.
Also...the low pitch humming noise he mentioned may have another factor, but he did say the tranny slips when he is under hard acceleration or takeoff...and doesn't shift a little hard the way its supposed to.
The warranty does cover the tranny. I was gonna just drive it till it blows up, I just dont want it to happen somewhere im gonna be stuck. I think I need to find a shop thats gonna play nice with the warranty company, you know? Oh and sometimes the 2nd to 3rd shift will hit fairly hard, it will slip and then nail 3rd. Ive never had an auto before and now I think I know why.
