battery light
I have a 99 F-350 SD dually with a V-10. The battery light goes on and off during day or night.(headlights on or off).Dash meter reads that it's charging. The battery was tested and has correct charge.(no problems starting even in cold weather). The alternator checks good in the truck using a tester. I have not pulled it out and had bench tested yet. Any thoughts or ideas.

Sounds like the brushes in the alternator are failing. Cheap to fix if you are up to taking your alternator apart.
