no power to key
hey all.... lookin for any help. i cant get the starter to turn over with the key. it turns if i jump it right fom the starter. i checked the silinoid and it seems to be gettin power...but if i jump it from the silinoid,, it just clicks i checked the wireing with a test light and it seems to be all good. also i played around with the trans linkage...and did get a click from the key when it was in nutral.
i did just put the motor in...and the trand was out...thats why i did the trans thing. by the way..its a 93 f360 with a 7.3 deasil non turbo. thanks for your help. mike in nj

If you get your trigger votage to the starter relay when the key is in START, then the control circuit is okay.
Sounds like you either have a faulty relay or the cable from the relay to the starter is defective.
Bypass the relay's large terminals with a pair of heavy pliers while observing your safety. If the starter motor cranks, then the relay is the fault.
