I recently acquired 2 doors and 2 fenders off of a 79 F-150 and although not in horrible shape, they will need some TLC. First off, on the doors, there is some cancer at the trailing corner. Since its at the corner, can I cut that out and weld a new patch in there, then roll the edge over like it originally came?
Second, on the fenders, there is a little bit of rot on the edge of the lip that has gone all the way through and become very brittle. Am I better off to do some welding there, or just go and get an aftermarket fender?
Last is another door question. the one door is missing all the glass, including the vent. How much of a pain is it to pop the vent window out of my old door and place in the new? is it a lot of work involved, or pretty simple?
Thanks and sorry for all the questions in one thread
