noises driving me nuts

first off
i have a 1995 150 4x4 5.0 E4od 160k
when i go to pull out or go up a hill i am getting the knock from hell it isn seeming to effect the performance but it is annoying as hell. just changed the plugs and it didnt seem to make a difference at all. what do i do i was told the timing cant be adjusted on a 95. what is doing this?! and how do i stop it?!

run premium gas, or reset the timing.

so the timing can be set on 1995's?

Try another type of gas. Mine runs good on most, but if I put Gulf in it she sounds like a woodpecker. For what it's worth my outboard runs great on Gulf.

I take it from your post that it has not always done this. It may be carboned up. Run some water through it.

i dunno i have had the truck since december and i bought it and drove it in tallahassee for 6 mo. now i (and the truck ) reside just north of pittsburgh pa

i started noticing it shortly after i got here ..it did it a little in tallahassee

when you say run some water throught it bdox ...what do you mean?

1 mistake was listening to the dip**** at autozone when he had me try seafoam i initailly though "well i did hear paul harvey recomend it " so i tried that. oh no was not a good idea it seemed to run worse after that.

p.s. as for gas, having dual tanks i tend to run what ever is cheap usually sheetz or getgo (i have been running getgo a lot lately as they are still 2.89pg)
id love to run this th on e85 as its $2.65 near me.
