And that is a C-130 J model a brand new place if you can belive it. A plane that has been around since the 50's is still in production. How can you tell? the 6 bladed props and the props are corbon fiber.
I see alot of them around here with Westover Joint Air Reserve Base being a 2 miles from my house and Barnes Air National Guard Base being 5 miles from my house. The C-130 I see, especially the J model are bases in Quansett Point Rhode Island Air National Guard base. They frequent Westover and Barnes quite often.
Cool pic.
Has any one see Super Duties used as Air Force town vehicles? They are chopped just behind the cab. Very short wheel base. The frame and drive shaft have all been chopped. They are mostly diesels and all are 4x2's.
So Quonset Point is an ANG base now? My how things have changed! When I was stationed on board a ship there it was a NAS. But that was 35 years ago, lol.
