engine swap

i recently locked up my 302 in my 87 f150 because of an offroading incident and i dont feel like ripping apart that engine to find out what is wrong so i bought another 302 from a bronco. i plan on swapping them. any advice before i start tearing in? remember, anything helps....ive never done any engine swap before.

Should be straight forward, the engines are identical.

will it matter that the bronco was automatic and my truck is a 4 spd?
