Write off?? Worth buying??

I am looking at buying a 1999 F-350 Lariat, Crewcab, Dually, 4x4, automatic. It was hit in the right front corner and has a bent door, it needs a new grill, rad, all front sheet metal, and a door. What is it worth and what are some hidden things that could be wrong that i can't see?? Bent frame. etc?? Also if any of you Alberta people know what percent of the vehicles total value has to spent on repairs before they will write it off. In Sask I think it is 80% of the vehicles value. Example --- 1995 F150 worth $10,000 needs $8,000 worth of repairs == write off. Does this sound right??

Thanks for any input.

If it took a hit in the wheel, I would say forget it. If not, the worst it could have is a bent frame. Also, check the transmission bellhousing. You didn't say what engine it has, but some trannys can crack if the truck takes big enough of a hit.

Question: Has the truck been re-titiled or written off as "salvage" by the insurance company?
