New guy
New guy here tired of lurking. I have an 04 F-350 6.0 PSD and have been having some problems with the injectors going bad. It seems to be a problem that Ford is aware of but I was just wondering if anyone else has been having same problem. I had a Hypertech power program on it when the first one went out in May. Loud knocking and black smoke out the tailpipe. About two months later same exact thing. Orings came apart and were leaking fuel into the cylinders. I removed the program and have not reinstalled it. I havent had any problems since but have no confidence in the engine now. I was lucky that when I broke down I have been in close proximity to Ford dealership so hasnt cost me an arm or leg yet. I haul a camper and tow a boat and am below the GVWR of the truck so it cant be stress on the engine. Just looking to find out if anyone else has had similar work done or has had any luck with Ford helping out with other injector replacement. Thanks.
