For those of you who do not realize or know, let me explain. You bought a truck that weighs roughly 6,000 pounds with a V8. What in the world were you expecting!!
If you're not happy with it, trade it in and get a Tacoma V6. And even that won't get what it states on the sticker.

Stop complaining!!
I second that! Come on people. Never Ever has a vehicle got the fuel economy posted on the window sticker.
I don't understand..........I have a V8, I know it is a big and heavy truck, I have a heavy foot and my MPG still sucks! I bought the Edge Evo and a new cat back, I thought i would at least get around 25 MPG. I know what is missing, a supercharger! I think that may just bump me up close to 22 MPG!!!
JUST DRIVE AND ENJOY AN AWESOME TRUCK! IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT, PARK IT!

Why would you start another thread about MPG if you want the issue to die!? Anyway I hope the word is out. As stated above its a big heavy V8 truck and the MPG REALLY REFLECTS THE WEIGHT!!!!!
It would be nice to see the last of the MPG issue. But, there will be members, new or old, that will not do a search about this long winded subject and start another thread.
Maybe a sticky is needed that addresses this issue.
Of course, if someone has a problem that suddenly causes poor mileage, I think it needs to be posted.
But general, "What's your mileage", stuff should stop.

I know I didn't start this. Why start it because we all love to complain about things. I think this is my Dad's favorite topic. He goes on an on about in the 60's they had reports of cars that could get 60MPG. I try to tell him that they just didn't know how to divide.
It's a fun topic.

I have to agree with you guys. It seems like someone is complaining about their gas mileage every time I check the site. It gets old fast. People need to realize that this is a truck, it is heavy, has a high towing capacity, and when you get some things you give up others. If gas wasn't 3.00+ a gallon nobody would be complaining. Once agin its a truck, and it was made to haul things, pull trailers, and play in the dirt, not for gas mileage. Mine gets mid 11-12 around town, but it sure pulls a trailer great, so hey, i'm not complaining.
I don't even try to figure gas mileage anymore, just how much it's going to cost to get where I'm going and do I want to go there that bad. So far I've always went.
When did a truck ever get good gas mileage. Never. Sorry but you have to get a car to get the mileage. Yah it would be nice to get 40 MPG with these truck but it aint going to happen. Its hard for people to give up there trucks.
Dont worry, It's only a matter of time before George Soros in conjunction with Japan and Al Gores America hater agenda will introduce the bread box they are calling the "Cherry" into the states so all the tree hugging, global warming beliving vacuous liberals can put Ford and GM out of business. we can always get North Korea or China to build our vehicles of war for us though.
