In the back between the frame rails where it should be. Use an 80s Mustang tank & straps and re-fit the filler neck any way you want. . . . It's not a bolt in but it is a popular conversion.
There is an article in Classic Truck magazine & their website too, a few years back on this.
Some time ago I posted a Question re;going back to original rims. Well they were put on me old 65 the other day and the steering (no power ) is sooo much better though traveling at 100klm per hour from Narooma to Pambula on bends it tends to sway a bit though that could be the goat tracks that we call highways over here.
