I put it in today. Overall not too happy. The whole having to shift 1-2-D kinda sucks and the gasket it came with seems to be pretty cheap (2 small leaks) luckly I have another that came with the filter.

After driving it a bit I also noticed that once its in 3rd gear (going about 50-60) when I give it gas itll just rev from 1k-3k then itll actually go.

Something I did wrong maybe?

Seems like I def. have a problem. When in D I get one gear. When I shift from 1-2-D. I only get first and second gear. Once I hit D it doesnt shift to 3rd and I can down shift back to 2nd and nothing is affected. Im guessing a stuck valve or similar?

I didnt do anything with the 2-3 accumulator. Only the 1-2 to change out the spring. I pulled it back yesterday and put it back together and still no luck. D is basicly one gear. I can shift from 1-2 manually and 2-D does nothing.

Before the kit I got all gears, all shifts were fine, etc. I did end up getting the new kit from summit and used the gaskets provided with the kit. As for the shifting...correct. If I drop it in D I get one gear (basicly like driving a go-kart or something) it doesnt try to shift at all it just stays in whatever gear its in. Although it takes FOREVER to get going so it seems as if its stuck in 2nd or 3rd. If I manually put it in 1 and shift to 2 it works fine. Shifting from 2 to D I get no shift, once in D it wont shift into 4th. I ordered a new 2-3 accumulator last night and a drain plug as im sure ill be pulling this thing apart many times. When I pulled it apart for the 2nd time on sunday I noticed some aluminum shards in the bottom of the pan that seemed like they were from dilling the holes between the partitions. I ran out of break clean and didnt have enough to clean them out real well so I did it as best as I could. Im thinking that might be the problem. So this weekend im going to put the plug in, change the 2-3 accumulator, check the 1-2 accumulator and take the valve body apart and clean it up real well.

i sure am sorry that you are having this problem.hopefully its something simple.check you seperator plate gakets to make sure that you dont have a hole blocked and check the bore where you did the modes to the 1-2 and 2-3 shift valve.you might have a peice of debrise the is causing the 1-2 or 2-3 shift valve to be stuck in the stroked position wich could cause a weired shifting/no shifting or engage in higher gear consern.

First thing I did was check the 1-2 accumulator and sure enough. One of the seals has a slice in it thats starting to cause that sliced part to peel back. I guess this is the problem. So off to order a 1-2 accumulator. I should have just done it when I ordered the 2-3. I didnt bother to put the 2-3 in or clean the valve body out again though. I figured I would just do it all at aonce.
