97 Explorer running hot

97 Explorer running hot
Hi, all.
I have a 1997 Explorer that has been running hot lately. It was only when the a/c was on, but now it happens almost every time I drive it. It has plenty of coolant in it and the radiator isn't leaking. My husband is thinking the thermostat could be sticking. This is a new vehicle for us, so we don't know alot about it. Any ideas of what it could be?

I think your husband is right. change out the T-stat. It'll shift a bit funny too when overheating.

I agree with the t-stat. Make sure you get the o-ring gasket as well. With some t-stats, you have to buy it seperately.
