I have a 89 250 with a 460 that caught fire due to a electrical short. This is the farm truck that I can't put much money into. Someone told me that the wire harness should be the same on most of the truck frames from mid-80's to mid 90's. Would this also apply to something like a bronco? I know someone parting one out that I could ge the harness pretty darn cheap.
If anyone knows of a site that I could get part numbers or if the bronco harness would work, let me know.
I have the full enginge bay harness and comp from a 95ish 150 small block. I am under the impression that it will run a 460. Do some research and pm me if you are interested.
I have been looking for 3 days now on the internet and still have not found an answer if other model truck wire harnesses would match up to this one. If anybody has an idea for this, I would be happy to hear. Thank you.

TThere are several different harnesses on your truck, can you tell us what area of the truck that it burnt?
Examples:
From the firewall to the rear end along frame
Dash wiring
Engine wiring
Fender wiring (what side)
Alternator wiring to starter solenoid
I would think you would be looking for wiring from 1987 to 1989 in most cases and make sure it is coming from a FI truck.
I could look up the part number for your truck from Micro F. but it would take a while and I would have to know all of the details of your truck.
If it is frame wiring the Bronco had more wires for the tailgate window, wiper and if your truck has a tow package then you will have wires that the Bronco does not have.
go to your local ford dealrship and ask them to pull up the information, they may ask
for some numbers off the truck to access the correct wire harness your looking for.
