Hey guys, I need a drivers side door for my 57 F-100. Anyone know where I can get my hands on one ? Doesnt have to be a complete door, I have new inside parts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Roy.

That is a nice looking 57 - hope mine looks that good when I am done.

I am sure you know but any door from 57 to 60 will fit. Around here (california) they are $75 items and very available. Shipping would kill you tho - but if you do not find one closer let me know and I will check my sources.

car-part.com Do a search from '57-'60. There will be quite a difference in prices and quality. I bought 2 doors from Arizona through them, but am having trouble with shipping. Shipper quoted $280 for shipping, then backed out and now wants $580. Still looking for shipper.

$280?, $580? is that for the door or for the entire cab plus doors? Check Greyhound Bus Lines - they ship hoods and doors at a reasonable cost, but you have to take it to and collect it from a terminal.

Hey Roy,
I've got a decent door that has some rust issues that you may be able to use. I'm in Austin. If you're interested, I can take some photos and email them to you.

The doors were $60 apiece. Shipping is $580. They don't have a Greyhound terminal near them Closest is hours away. I did ask them. Still waiting on a shipper. And I could have bought a cab for $550 a few months back plus shipping out of Texas. Looks like I should have gone that way. Oh well. Live and learn.

I have used American Freight Companies (http://www.freightcenter.com/) a few times and have been very happy with their rates and service. They will hook you up with the company that has the best rate for what/where you want to ship, send you a bill of lading, and all you have to do is drop it off at the terminal. I just shipped a HEAVY 1950 Merc door to Ohio from SoCal and it cost less than $200. If I would have gone to the same major freight company it would have been over $600.

Not sure where you are in Texas, but there's a guy on highway 114 just west of Boyd, TX who has a yard full of old Ford trucks and parts. His name is David Starr. Another FTE'r told me about him. I've seen the yard from the road and called the posted phone number, but haven't had a chance to go wander through it yet.

I've also seen a couple parts-quality 57's for sale around Fort Worth. One of them is on highway 377 just south of town. I think the doors were in good shape. I saw two more 57's in a wrecking yard off Mansfield Highway/287 just southeast of I-20. Can't remember the name of the yard, but it was the only one with old vehicles in it. That guy also had some cool old Ford panel trucks.

Thank you Charlie. I just did a quick rate quote and it was $320. Now I have to figure out how to get it to them. I'll call next week to set it up.
