I want to lower my 61 but, clipping the front and things like that are little beyond me....
I heard that you can take one of the larger leafs out of the springs to drop it about 2".
Is this true and has anyone out there ever done it.

I think the best way to go would be to have reverse eye springs to do the lowering. That way the ride quality, such as it is, won't change too much. I plan to do that to my '62, 'cause the 289/C4 I put in left the front about an inch higher after taking out the old 6 with the cast iron bell housing and heavy four speed tranny.
