Diamond plate...

Has anyone tried changing the plastic diamond plate bottom door jams with real diamond plate jams?

I would also like to know about this. I have thought about doing this for awhile, but have never seen or heard of anyone else doing this.

Ya...you'd think that with all the mods out there, someone would have done it. I bet i can get aluminum plate cut real cheap, I am just not sure how I would attach it to the frame.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same thing. And I was also wondering how I could secure it to the frame. O well, maybe someone will answer with some tips or how to's about doing a mod like this.

Putco, Trendz (?) and Dee Zee come to mind that would make such an animal.

I think Steeda (a Sponsor) carries them for our trucks too...But their stuff is usually some sort of Billet aluminum.

It also seems that most these manuf. would use that nifty 3M trim (double-stick) tape to keep it in one spot.
