updates on shudder problem?

Are there any updates or 'fixes' for the rear shudder problem? I don't have a clunk, I just have a shudder in the rear at takeoff and also if going downhill at highway speeds. Apparently after talking to the dealer, this description seems to be more than just 1 thing, but I'm not so sure about that. They told me that if it shudders during turns from takeoff that the clutch packs needed to be replaced or if it shudders driving in a straight line then the slip yoke needs greasing, or maybe even adjust the driveshaft angle. If I'm not mistaken all these things have been getting done by folks for a while now. I'm just wondering if there is anything that will correctly fix the shudder? I read all the tsb's and didn't recognize anything new I don't think.

You did not mention if you have had anything done to fix the problem. If the dealer says it could any of those items, have 'em do all the corrective actions until it's fixed.

Right but the dealer told me that they had done the 'fixes' that were out last fall on other people's trucks and that none of them fixed the problem, and that ford did not seem to have a good solution at that time. So I went and checked yesterday to see if ford had come up w/ a new solution but apparently not. My truck is at the local ford dealer today being checked out, but the only tsb's i could find on the problem are the ones that have been out forever. Everyone on most of the forums I've read say that none of that stuff fixed their trucks and they had to keep taking it back and back. I'll take it once, maybe twice for some work, but after that if its not fixed i'll just drive it like is, although annoying, and hope it doesn't tear up ever. I'm not sure what the problem is or what kind of long term effects there are if not fixed.

Thanks for the post, I saw that tsb last night and that's one of the ones I've been keeping an eye on. The dealer here told me today after they drove it that they were going to replace the clutch packs next week once the parts come in. I also noticed in the tsb that the oil/lubricant for those has changed to what looks like a heavier weight. Maybe that will help too. They said when they drove it that it seemed to do the shudder more so while turning and accelerating than when going straight. But to me, that still doesn't solve the problem of when it does the same thing while coasting downhill on the interstate at 80mph and it starts shuddering and feeling like something is binding up back there.
