Ford announced today they REDUCED F-150 07' pricing numbers. I believe the ext cab is $970 LESS than the 06' version. Ironic that on this day also GM displayed in a web broadcast their new 900 pickup line for the world to see. The trucks have integrated many of the Titan, F-150 unique features. Like deeper boxes, 170 degree swinging rear doors and tracking box system. Also the rear windows recede entirely down. NO 6 speed tranny available yet. These new trucks are much boxier looking and more squared. Looks like the heat in the kitchen got a bit hotter.
Ford profits depend on their truck sales, with gas going up and truck / Suv sales going down, it is taking a big bite out of the company. Toyota has just now taken the #2 slot away from Ford. All due to high gas prices. It is now the second biggest car company. </FONT>
I hate it, but that's what I read. Ford is now considering getting rid of the poorly performing Jaguar line, and other restructuring as it is loosing revenue there also. This may be some of the reason Ford is reducing prices.

The funny thing about that is that. Toyota does not get all that better mileage.

I think they have more cars that do. As for quality, I have yet to have a bad Ford Truck. My new one is running like a top, and I love it. My next truck will also be a Ford. Best truck out there as far as I am concened. As for GM trucks ..... look out, Toyota will be knocking at there door now. Maybe while those two are going toe to toe, Ford can sneak past and take the # one spot.
New if they would put a Diesel in it and give me milage in the 20's I'd be happy to by a new truck. But with gas prices up I'll keep the 95 and wait for this. Glad to see lower prices instead of an increase.
With Gas hitting $3.00 and above I did a comperison of other makes and I really didn't see milage differnet between Ford an anyone for the same type of Truck.
