Well it's not really ford truck but i did see some ford truck people and trucks.
We drove the plymouth to Watrous. Great show, great weather and a real nice white 79 F100. Met Nathan there....he left early i think ?
Won the 2 big prizes there.
First we won the 2 night stay, drive tickets, mini golf, supper and swimming at Manitou beach....great i thought we were staying at that hotel anyway so that was free.
Next they drew from the pre entry applicants...$300 cash....WE WON AGAIN !!
Took the old car the drive inn. The drive inn brought a lump in my throat. As i walked back to the car from the food stand and saw the car in the twilight....it was just a classic moment.
Sunday morning we cruised up to Radisson. Another good show for a little town. I saw Fom's Mustang but i never saw him.
There we won a plaque for the farthest traveled.
2 good car shows in one weekend, some cash won, some cash spent, leaky rear main seal, slipping clutch and one tire that keeps loosing air, 650 miles.....all in all a great time.
Fom would of been the one with a beard and a pipe.
At leats you had fun. I look forward to the days I can get cruising to these shows all over our fine province. I would be nice to have a few plaques for the work I done on my vehicles. I look forward to when I get the 62 Valiant Signet done. It will be sweet to drive. Not saying my trucks are not. I also look forward to when the 64 econobox is done also. I also miss driving my 66 Fury1 my very first car I owned.Still have it.
Sounds like you always win big, let`s take you to Vagas! Too bad we didn`t connect at Radisson, we thought you`d left already as it was well after 3 pm when we rolled in.
Hopefully I can make the PA show Friday and we can meet up.
I left early becuase that afternoon, my grandpa was moving to the city and I was going to help. My friend, Garett also had to be back to cut hay. It was nice meeting you though. I would like to find a 49-55 Ford car that was in good condition as your Plymouth. Yep, Morris has a pipe. He sort of reminds me of Clive Cussler.
I guess you haven't read any of his books. He has writen over 20 adventure novels. He has a huge collection of airplanes and rare cars. He founded a non-profit organisation N.U.M.A (National Underwater Marine Agency) which finds historical shipwrecks and he has found many.
He looks alot like you, in my opinion.
Here's a link to some pictures of his 80+ car collection. http://www.numa.net/car_collection.html
Thanks for the info and the link on a very interesting person. Somehow there`s no mention of any old Ford trucks though.....I`m certain he must have afew hidden away.
Morris I saw you drive in with the fastback and i left my car and walked to the end of the street......you must have blended into the crowd by the time i got there.
That`s too bad about Radisson, so close and yet so far. We were there for most of an hour. I wasn`t quite sure which vehicle was your`s at the show or even if you were still there by the time we got, should have guessed it would be your wife`s car.
