So iam pretty excited we head on out to get our 19 ft Prowler ST travel trailer from Watrous we got the best deal out there for what we where looking for its really clean and i mean really its clean and 83-84 we will see how the 351 puts out when pulling and how the gas mileage is
Should get to bed i got to get up early coffee time so ill maybe snap some photos for you guys
Congrats Dustin. Sherm's right, those pipes will resonate nicely off the trailer. Plus having to put your foot into it a bit more, it'll sound even better. A mid 80's 19 footer shouldn't be too bad for weight. Mine's an early 70's 23'. She weighs a lot. I won't go back to a tent after having the trailer. Like it a lot!
Yeah she pulled nice and dam sounded good especially going up a little steep grade she kicked out of od amazing sound even with the sliding rear window wow sherm that was awesome what a coincdence i forget you where coming and i thought earlier but i saw yeah and i was waving i was thinking thats sherms truck and yup what a cool feeling
Be carefull towing in od, I would rather put it in drive and not od. Best to read the owner`s manual if you have one or drop into the 1987 - 1996 F150 And Larger F-Series Trucks forum, the Clutch,Transmission, Differential, Axle and Transfer Case or the Towing, Trailers And 5th Wheels forum.
Watch the heat build up on the transmisson when towing on a hot day.
Yeah i know about that crap i didnt drive in o/d i think we turned it off but we checked the tranny fluid and it wasnt smelling like it burnt plus we werent going fast next time i will make sure not run in od but its hard to tell if your going in drive or od because its a button on the shifter
and the off button light is burnt out and if your not going fast enough you cant feel it rev up so but i knew all about that but thanks for the warning guys i know those E4ODs are weak but i got a tranny cooler so it was okay no worries i check the 87-96 forum everyday
Mileage dont know prep ill have to check but after half it was going pretty fast

Yeah I was gonna see if you had a tranny cooler. All depends on how heavy it pulls too. If it was pretty light, throw it in OD and youd be fine. If it was heavier and your tranny was working hard, OD off would be a good idea.
yes i did see ya dustin!! lol...passed ya and then i was saying...hey i know that truck!!!! out goes the hand... wish ya had been at the fun run though...
lol...yep fer sure...driving slow like that he's lucky he was in a ford otherwise it might not have been friendly... j/k, its good to see someonedriving responsibly with a trailer in tow!!
Yeah it was my dad anyways he didnt wanna push my ol baby to the limit i didnt want em to do taht but yeah i was like that to myself too i know that truck i could tell with the lights color and duals then i got the wave and yep i knew it was him but yeah i wish i was there but hopefuly soon we can all meet up
Well we would drive faster but he was buying the gas and didnt wanna get bad mileage either gotta think we were driving without trailer brakes so a fast stop could = death i need a brake controller hooked up for the trailer brakes or some bs i dunno me or my dad dont know much about wiring
that depends on the weight of the trailer. does the trailer have brakes on it?? i was glad to see ya taken 'er easy, not like one nitwit behind me for a little ways, driving a chebby with a huge 5th wheel, and trying to keep up 110-120...the trailer was swaying and swinging, he could hardly slow down as he got to the construction zones...
