I have not had any problems with the light coming on until this weekend. I put my daughter in the front seat for a ride and put the key in to turn the airbag off. I tried about four times and the light at the key switch never came on. I noticed then the airbag light was coming on. It was blinking a code of 27 a couple of times and then solid. I got my manual out and tried to turn the switch off again per the manual by turning the key towards off and removing the key. The light never would come on at the switch and still comes on at the instrument panel. I have searched the FAQ and did a search and can't find that code anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well I hate to say this but the airbags are something that I'd take to the dealer for service. One slip when working with their wiring and kaboom. I know it's not that fragile a system, but that's my .02.

A 2-7 code if I recall correctly is the light on the dash where you can turn it off or on is burned out. I had this problem with mine and replaced the small bulb and all is good. If you do a search you should beable to find the thread with an explanation of how to replace the bulb and which bulb to use. I picked mine up from the source.

You need to unsolder that bulb and solder the new one in. This might help and it tells which bulb you should get.

well let me ask the next ques. my airbag light came on & set 27. i can fix it NOW, but after it came on my ABS light came on & now my speedometer works half the time. is the whole cluster gone to the dogs or what is the problem
