Hey Everyone,
I just bought A 1985 Ford F150 4X4 Stepside with a 351W. I am looking forward to learning AAAALOT from you guys. I've been cruzing the forum and I'm glad to be here. First dumb question.....The 351W in my truck has been rebuilt and has approximately 7k miles on it.....now is it worth the expense to change the intake and carb?? I appreciate any and all opinions....Thanks!
Welcome to the forum. First, I would say the truck is yours, you can do what you want to it and should care less what anyone else says. I personally would do an edelbrock 600cfm carb and intake and headers and custom exhaust. I bought 2 glasspacks from Checker and took them to a local Exhaust Pros and had them run new pipe out the back, cost me about $200.

I agree make your truck yours they way you want it like travisd says.I also aagree about the Edelbrock carb I have a 600 on a 460 and plan to drive it 2 hours tomorrow night to see how it does. Then I plan on headers and true dual exhaust before Christmas after I make a couple of changes since I have dual gas tanks.
Thanks guys! Its not a daily driver but I'll probably drive her on the weekends so she needs to be dependable. I sold my 04 Hemi so I could get a toy that was paid for and that a man could turn a wrench on or at the least have worked on if needed without taking out a second mortgage. Anyone have part numbers for the edelbrock carb and intake? And what about the best place to buy??

I got mine from O'Reillys for $265.00 and change.Part number was EDL-1406 I think a 1405 is a manual choke.I see you're from NC?
