I know there has been alot of talk about transmission coolers on here. I am looking into purchasing a replacement cooler for my stock one, and I was wondering which one do you all like. The 6.0 cooler or the Tru-Cool 47391 any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

The 6.0 cooler without a doubt. IIRC, it's almost double the size of the tru-cool, with the 6.0 cooler having 26 rows of cooling, compared to the 14 on the tru-cool.
My 6.0 cooler will be here tomorrow and then tomorrow night i am going to Del Rio pulling my travel trailer and the bass boat. Will be in the low 100's i'm sure so i will give a full report how it compares to the stock cooler. Both the TT and the bass boat should put me around 23,000lbs.Last time i made this trip my temps stayed right at 200*. I have also noticed here in the last month or so my tranny temps are up about 15* from what they have been for the last 98,000 miles without towing. I have already checked out the situation and got all my fittings from Lowes so i figure maybe an hour tops for installation.Should make a huge difference from what has been reported here on FTE. After 98,000 miles my 4r100 probably needs all the help it can get!!
Not to hijack but when installing the tru-cool, are ya'll (anyone really) putting the inlet and outlet up or down? And does it really matter? I ask because the stock non radiator cooler fills from the top and returns from the top which would seem to make the cooler fill to capacity with no voids before returning to the tranny. More fluid in means more fluid cooled.
I too am planning to tow my TT this weekend and will have results come Sunday. Short 100 mile haul in SETexas.

I vote for down because it uses less hose. Other than that, I can't see the difference.
