Reverse

2002 F250 Super Duty 7.3 auto.... When i first crank it takes it a second to go into reverse and then shifts hard when it finally goes into reverse....Any Ideas?

Sounds normal, my '02 V-10 does the same thing, takes a second to engage then *thunk* it's moving!

Mine also takes maybe a second or second-and-a-half when I shift into Reverse to engage. Seems from what I've read a lot of trucks do this, if not most/all. I just live with it on mine, but I do think from time to time that I wish it'd engage quicker; just seems like it should.
