I recently had a edge juice with attitude installed on my 01 f250. I am EXTREMLY disapointed in the product, my superchips tuner would have run circles around this thing. It also sends the ses light on alot, even sometimes when you are not getting on it real hard, just wondering what others thought of the product. I think I am going to have it taken back off and go with something different. Thanks for your opinions, Aaron
yep, me too. i hated how it treated the transmission, it felt like a CVT, you could not actually tell when it shifted it was so mushy. even with a sonnax/springs installed. go with a chip and you will not regret it. chip may cost more in the end, because you need gauges to monitor the temps as the Edge already had half-assed gauges to begin with so you will need to get analog gauges and then spring for a chip .
i have a TS performance chip. however i am eventually going to get a new DPtuner multiposition (im getting 10 on mine) chip with a digital display. it's nothing like the Attitude monitor, as it only has a **** and a number on it, however it has Jody's tunes. i recommend a BTS valve body too.
I have the right one according to the part number, I'm not saying it didnt make a difference just not what I had hoped, for the money. The superchips was alot less and seemed to have more power, I just cant justify going back to it when I spent all the money on the edge.
This may be the opposite of what people are going for in the edge J W/att, but I was wondering what the MPG improvements were with this setup? From what I have read, tuning seems poor, but the concept of the digital guages is great.
im getting 25mpgs with my evo on low ,and the attitude on low ,5in exhaust, and a cold air intake in my 03 crewcab short bed 4x4 with 33 12.5 16 nitto at on it.
I too went from the Superchips to the Edge Juice, and finally ended up in the corner of DP Tuner. In my opinion the Edge product was a huge waste of money and I was soooo disappointed with it. The unit would stop working from time to time when pulling heavy loads due to underhood heat, and I installed it in the location recommended in the instructions. If you think you truck runs good with Edge, you'll be amazed at the difference with the chip. I cannot speak highly enough of the DP Tuner product and the perfomance gained from it. I would never recommend Edge products for a 7.3 truck.

I bought a Diablosport predator last year
I am really happy with it
but I am going to get Jody's chip/multiposition switch

What am I doing wrong? I have close to the same setup minus the attitude. Even when I baby it I only get maybe 17mpg. Are you figuring these numbers mathmaticly or going of the mpg meter?
However I do agree, I think the edge products are really good. All I have is the evo but Im still really pleased with my results. Maybe it doesnt do as well unless youve got other mods besides just the tuner (intake, exhaust). I dont know, Im just throwing out ideas.
when i had the evo and juice stacked and ran like that for a few weeks, i got an incredible 36.4 MPG!!!!
....until i hand calculated it, 13mpg. the edge stuff is a fueling box. it dumps tons of fuel out of the tailpipe, and thats about it. it doesnt do as good as of job (as a chip) in making the smoke into power. if you like smoke though, you will like edge stuff. i got my evo for $288 used twice and my juice for $569, new.
No problems with mine, love it. 18-21 mpg average and the tow tune has been a friend to my tranny.
Some trucks react better then others to modifications. While your truck may hate the Edge products, it may love Diablosport. If there is one thing I have learned from the vast chasm of knowledge on this site (99'-2003' PSD forum being the best) is that no two trucks are the same operations wise.
Look at it this way: you are finding out what your truck likes, and when you are done you will have a great combo that suits your needs.
In my opinion, Edge does make a good product. You must understand what you are buying. I got my set up to protect the truck. A byproduct is a more peppy PSD. If I wanted to peel paint off of lesser vehicles I would contact Jody for sure. Just not on my agenda.
