Pop when shift gears?
get a pop or drive line shudder when shifter gears. get a real good shudder when when doing 1st or reverse at low speed and putting in clutch. truck is a 5 speed manual, 4whl drive, automatic hubs.
just replaced rear brakes, drums, pads, kit, new front pads, new front rotors, tranny was replaced 15k ago by previous owner. also has LUK clutch kit.
I have not replaced tranny fluid yet. was thinking purple magic. Any other suggestions for a good synthetic fluid? this is my farm truck so it will get used hard very soon. grape picking season is only a month away

Check the u-joints on your drive shaft. I run Royal Purple Synchromax in mine. I like it, made the shifts smoother. Also they are a site sponsor.

U-joints. Jack the rear of the truck up and put on jackstands with blocks in front of and behind a front wheel. Make sure your e-brake is undone and get under there and roll a rear tire forward and backward until it stops against the parking gear with your hand and you should be able to see where the play is.
