Time to start planning the next meet. I'm thinking the last weekend in August (26th) in or around Mountian Home. Maybe someone up there can let us know where.
Sorry about having to back out at the last minute, but now you're talking an area that I wouldn't mind driving to. We used to vacation in Flippin and Yellville years ago. I wonder if the Flippin Auction is still open. That was the highlight of the week on Saturday night. The auctioneer is a comedian, we used to go more for the entertainment than to buy. Hey, how about having the meet at Buffalo Point Park. They have some pavilions and group areas. Haven't been there in several years, but it was very nice the last time.

After jumping through the hoops to get on the reserveusa site, I found that the pavilions at Buffalo point would cost $59.00 Any member holding a Golden Age or Access card? This would cut the cost in half. Right now it looks like all 3 pavilions are open for the 26th, but this could change. I would probably go up on the 25th and camp for the weekend.

If you are gonna go up and camp... could I get you to take the lead on this one?
They have modern and rustic cabins at the park too i see, hmm.. might have to drive up friday also
I would advise checking for a reservation now, those cabins are usually booked far in advance.
When we get a few more yes votes, I'll make the reservations for the pavilion.
Jimbo, the river usually doesn't dry up at Buffalo Point. A friend went camping at Steele Creek last week and said there was no water there.
