Post Header Questions

I am in the process of rebuilding my 352, and my exhaust system is missing from the manifolds back. I was thinking about headers. They seem to be pretty hard to find and are expensive when you do. Any thoughts? Should I go back stock? Anybody know a good place to buy a set of headers? Thanks.

Also if you check out Summit or Jegs they have Jet Hot Coated Dynomax headers for the FEs for like $217.00. Very good price for what you get if you ask me.

Header Questions

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 29-Sep-02 AT 02:24 AM (EST)]Back when I had my 67 F-100 I put a set of HeadMen hedders on it they were only $149.95 but im not sure if they still are that price because that was 3 years ago. They were very good flowing cheap hedders. Also headers for any FE will work on a 352. Enjoy!

Thanks for the purchase info. Will there be a noticable difference in performance with the addition of headers? Do you think it is worth the money?

In my opinion. Yes. But that is me. I also will not put on headers unless they are Jet Hot Coated (or something simliar). I cant stand opening the hood to show someone and all they see is rusted ace headers.

For now, until the rebuild is complete and you can see if there are other unexpected expenses, I'd have dual exhaust with an H pipe installed. You can always add headers and performance exhaust later. Since you kept the 352, I'm guessing you just want a reliable good running truck.
