We need more info. Does the noise occur when hitting a bump, or just cruising along? Are any bumps or shakes felt in the steering wheel after you hit a bump?
If it is the ball joints then you have one out pretty bad. You just need to jack the truck up and check them. I had a top one out pretty bad and it would do what you describe.
I dont belive its in the stering more when im makeing a slow move as i hit bumps i hear the knock it dark now i well check tommorow after work look under the front what would I be looking for? how do i know if ball joints are bad?
