Hello fellow ford lovers : I am desperite for parts no truck=no work. I need a shift tube for a 1964 f-100 3 speed manual. i have checked all the local junk yards with no luck. Or does any onke know of a floor shift kit for the truck at this point i would be willing to do that just so i can drive my truck.
Have you pulled the steering wheel off to see if the tube was broken or the collar was broken? It could be either one. I sold a ton of both as a Ford parts guy in the early 70's. I'd check first then look for what you need.
Yes i have pulled it all apart and i replaced the collar about a year ago now the tube is all work out where the shift lever goes into it. the hole is so enlogated that the shift lever does not catch the tube to move it at all. and i am having one hell of a time finding a replaycment tube.
If you have the tube out and can take some measurements call up Jeff's Bronco graveyard. He sells shift tubes for broncos and they might just be the same but i don't know for sure so call and talk to them.
